Overview of your tour
The Afternoon Private Sintra Tour starts with a pickup at 1:30 PM at your hotel or accommodation in Lisbon. We travel comfortably, for 45 minutes, to Sintra in a vehicle equipped with AC. Our first stop is Quinta da Regaleira, a magnificent estate built by Mr. António Monteiro as a summer residence. The visit to Quinta da Regaleira will have you dreaming of hidden passages and secret tunnels, but it’s not a dream! It’s real. We will go down the famous Initiation Well and walk through the underground tunnels of this intricate property. António Monteiro was a brilliant man, and this property shows some of his interests. You will learn all about it during our tour!
Our next stop is the town center of Sintra, where we will make a quick stop for an afternoon snack – we will take you to the famous Piriquita pastry shop, a business that has been in the same family since 1962!
With our appetites satisfied, we will continue to our last stop of the day: the iconic Pena Palace! We will drive up the mountain and start by taking a stroll through Pena Park.
Our guided visit to the Pena Palace is strategically timed for the last time slot of the day, ensuring a more intimate experience with fewer crowds. You will hear about the King who built this Romantic Palace and the family who lived in it. You will also have free time to take pictures and admire the amazing view from the terraces of the Pena Palace.

If you would like to join a small group tour with your child, our shared tours are only available for children twelve years old and over. Children under the age of 12 are considered participants on each tour, and their tickets are not free.
Our Private Afternoon Wonders of Sintra Tour is exclusively tailored for small groups, accommodating up to six guests. To maintain a personalized, intimate and comfortable experience, we do not accept groups larger than 6.
